Abstract

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of CT plain scan combined with serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods 82 children with bronchopneumonia diagnosed in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2018 were enrolled in the observation group, and 82 children with normal physical examination were enrolled in the control group. Two groups of children received CT scan and serum CRP and ESR detection. The sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of the two methods were calculated, and compared with the combined use of the two methods. The diagnostic value of the combined use of the two methods for bronchopneumonia in children was analyzed. Results The levels of serum CRP and ESR in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.005). CT plain scan has obvious imaging features in children with bronchopneumonia. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of CT plain scan combined with serum CRP and ESR detection in children with bronchial pneumonia were higher than those of CT plain scan alone and serum CRP and ESR detection alone, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion CT plain scan can clearly show the pathological changes of bronchial pneumonia in children, and its unique imaging signs combined with serum CRP and ESR detection can effectively improve the specificity, sensitivity and accuracy of diagnosis of bronchial pneumonia in children, thus helping clinical diagnosis of bronchial pneumonia in children, and timely formulation of treatment programs.
