Effects of Integrated Physical and Mental Nursing Intervention on Negative Emotion and Quality of Life in Patients with Thyroid Carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To study the effects of integrated physical and mental nursing intervention on negative emotion and quality of life in patients with thyroid carcinoma. Methods A total of 140 patients with thyroid carcinoma in our hospital were taken as the clinical research objects, and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group was given traditional nursing, and the study group was given integrated of physical and mental nursing. The scores of SAS, SDS and QLQ-C30 scale in the two groups before and after nursing were compared. Results After nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were both decreased, and the scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), the QLQ-C30 general physical condition score in the observation group was obviously higher than that in the control group, and their difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Integrated of physical and mental nursing which has good effect for patients with thyroid carcinoma, can not only effectively alleviate patients' negative emotions (anxiety and depression), but also improve their quality of life in all respects.
