Abstract

Objective To study the effect of butylphthalide and sodium chloride injection on dual antiplatelet therapy and recovery of neurologic impairment in patients with progressive cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 106 patients with progressive cerebral infarction were taken as the clinical research objects, and they were randomly divided into control group (53 cases) and treatment group (53 cases). Both groups were given dual antiplatelet therapy with clopidogrel and aspirin enteric-coated tablets, besides, the treatment group was given additional butylphthalide and sodium chloride injection. The NHISS scores, Barthel indexes, treatment effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the NHISS scores in the two groups were obviously decreased (P<0.01), Barthel indexes in the two groups were obviously increased (P<0.01), the decrease or increase range in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.01), the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.79% which was higher than that of the control group 67.92%, and their difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), there was no adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion Butylphthalide and sodium chloride injection combined with dual antiplatelet therapy whose treatment effect is significant, can obviously improve neurological function and life quality for patients with progressive cerebral infarction. Thus, it is worthy of promotion.
