Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of delivery analgesia combined with free position on delivery outcomes in parturient women. Methods 120 parturient women in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group. Both groups were given epidural anesthesia, besides, the control group was given traditional delivery position, while the observation group was given free delivery position. The pain degrees of parturient women in the intermission of contractions were assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS), the anxiety degrees of parturient women were evaluated by visual analogue scale of anxiety (VAS-A), and the sense of control in childbirth were estimated by labour agentry scale (LAS), the delivery modes, total delivery time and genital tract injury in the two groups were observed and compared. Results Compared with the control group, the VAS and VAS-A scores in the observation group were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the LAS score in the observation group was significantly increased (P<0.05), the vaginal delivery rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05), the total delivery time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05), the incidence rates of episiotomy and cervical laceration in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Delivery analgesia combined with free position which is worthy of promotion, can relieve the pain and anxiety of parturient women, improve the spontaneous delivery rate, shorten the total labor time, reduce the incidence of genital tract injury and significantly improve the delivery outcomes.
