Objective To evaluate the application value of ultrasound and multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of solid pseudopapillary tumor of pancreas (SPTP). Methods The clinical data of 58 patients with SPTP diagnosed by surgery and pathology admitted to our hospital from March 2015 to March 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were given ultrasound and multi-slice spiral CT before operation, and the imaging features were analyzed and compared with the results of surgical pathology. Results SPTP ultrasound findings: 30 cases were solid-cystic tumors which showed a mixture of equal low echo and irregular echo-free, and some blood flow signals at the edge of some tumors, and 19 cases were solid tumors which showed low echo nodule-like lesions, no obvious blood flow signals within and around nodules, and 9 cases were cystic tumors which showed fibers separation and scattered blood flow signals. CT findings: 32 cases were solid-cystic tumors whose solid partial enhancement scans were significantly enhanced and cystic partial enhancement scans were not significantly enhanced, and 18 tumors were mainly with solid structures whose enhanced scans showed uneven enhancement, and 8 tumors were mainly with cystic structures whose enhanced scan shows that the capsule wall and the solid part were significantly enhanced. The accuracy of CT in the diagnosis of SPTP was higher than that of ultrasound (87.93% vs 72.41%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Both ultrasound and multi-slice spiral CT for SPTP have characterized imaging findings, and the diagnostic accuracy of CT is higher. Combined with clinical findings and other examinations can be differentiated from other diseases.
