Clinical Symptoms, CT Imaging Features and Pathological Analysis of Mesenteric Panniculitis

Objective To explore the clinical symptoms, CT imaging manifestations and pathologic features of mesenteric panniculitis. Methods Selected our hospital from January 2012 to July 2012, 23 cases of patients with mesenteric panniculitis as the research object, all patients using multislice computed tomography (CT) scan, summarizes the patient's clinical symptoms, CT imaging findings and pathologic characteristics. Results The clinical symptoms of mesenteric panniculitis with abdominal distension, abdominal pain, fever, anorexia and weight loss as the main performance. 23 cases of mesenteric panniculitis patients, 11 cases of inflammatory exudative type, 7 cases of type 5 cases of fat necrosis, fibrosis type. Computed tomography (CT) were detected in 17 cases, the detection rate was 73.9% (17/23), of which 8 cases of inflammatory exudative type, 5 cases of fibrosis, 4 cases of fat necrosis. Conclusion CT manifestations of mesenteric panniculitis has certain specificity, and check the method for noninvasive, convenient, cheap, by excluding other diseases after differential diagnosis usually preliminary confirmed, if in doubt and cannot be ruled out other diseases, clear surgery or biopsy is feasible.
