Methods A total of 61 newly recruited nurses were selected as the control group during July 2012 to June 2014, and 63 newly recruited nurses were selected as the observation group from July 2014 to June 2016 in our hospital. The control group used the traditional contents of orientation, while EQ and affinity training were added in the experimental group based on traditional training contents. The nursing satisfaction and the complaint rate of nursing service quality were observed and compared with the two groups. Results The nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than the control group, the complaint rate of nursing service quality was significantly lower than the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Strengthening the EQ and affinity training on new nurses can help them to adapt to clinical working environment as soon as possible, improve the nursing satisfaction of patients, reduce the incidence of conflict between nurses with patients and their families in clinical care.
