Analyze the Expression of miRNA21 in the Patients with Ulcerative Colitis*

Objective Analysis of miRNA21 in the patients with ulcerative colitis to investigate the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis. Methods 25 patients with ulcerative colitis and 20 healthy controls were detected. And the expression of miRNA21 was evaluated by using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR) analysis. Results miRNA21 in serum of patients with ulcerative colitis was 1.32±0.24, higher than that 1.11±0.17 of the healthy control group, the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion The up-regulated expression of miRNA21 in the patients with ulcerative colitis might provide a new direction of therapy and clinical diagnosis for ulcerative colitis.
