Imaging Appearance of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome(AIDS) Related Lymphoma

PDFAbstract
Objective To investigate the specific imaging features of AIDS-related lymphoma. Methods X-ray, CT and MRI findings of 7 cases with Pathological biopsy proved AIDS-related lymphoma were retrospectively analyzed. And the related literature was reviewed to summarize the imaging features of AIDS-related lymphoma. Results Among the 7 cases, the main manifestations were enlargement of cervical lymph nodes (n=2), axillary lymph nodes(n=2) , tonsil enlargement (n=1), huge mass in terminal ileum (n=1), and multiple bone destruction (n=1). All of them, enlargement of lymph nodes were found in 6 cases, chest diseases were found in 6 cases, low density masses of liver were found in 3 cases, abnormal signals of brain were found in 2 cases ,dura thickening and scalp swelling were found in 1 case, pancreatic duct dilatation and pancreatic enlargement were found in 1 case, multiple vertebral body destruction and compression were found in 1 case, uneven signal was found in the swelling spinal cord in 1 case, multiple chest bone destruction were found in 1 case. Conclusion The imaging features of AIDS-related lymphoma which showed enlargement lymph nodes associated with other organ involvement is lack of specificity, and still need to be combined with clinical symptoms when we diagnosed.
