Causes and Suppression Eliminate Methods of Brain MRI Motion Artifact

Objective To investigate the causes and suppression eliminating methods of brain MRI motion artifact. Methods 50 cases of patients needed brain MRI examination who were treated in Luzhou Medical College Hospital Radiology January 2013 to September 2014 by random sampling method, They were divided into study group (n= 815) and control group (n=815) according to inspection methods. The control group were given routine brain MRI examination, while the study group were given brain MRI examination on the basis of Padded law, then one-time scan results of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The first scan success rate of the study group 99.6% (812/815) was significantly higher than the control group 68.7% (560/815), the onetime scan failure rate 0.4% (3/815) was significantly lower than the control group 31.3% (255/815)(P<0.05). Conclusions Brain MRI examination on the basis of padded method can effectively inhibit the elimination of motion artifacts, thus contribute significantly to improve image quality, efficiency and hospital benefits, so it is worthy of clinical practicing.
