The Findings of X-ray Chest Film of Dust Explosion in 1-4 Days

Objective To explore the findings of X-ray chest film of dust explosion in 1-4 days. Methods The bedside X-ray films in 1-4 days of 19 cases of dust explosion were retrospectively analyzed. The image features included the location, shape, size, edge of lesion, the shape of the hilum of lung, the presence of pleural effusion and pheumatosis, the presence of fractured rib; the shape of heart. Results On bedside chest film, the increased lung marking were found in 11 cases, in which 2 cases accompanied the spot along the lung marking. The diffused patch were found in 8 cases, in which 2 cases accompanied the hilum pulmonis increment, 4 cases accompanied pleural effusion. Conclusion The dust explosion showed a appearance of pulmonary aspiration injury (the increased lung marking) and/or accompanied blast injury (the diffused patch, the hilum pulmonis increment, pleural effusion) on the chest film in 1-4 days.
