Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in endometrial cancer invasion, lymph node metastasis and cervical stroma involvement. Methods 74 cases of patients with endometrial cancer were selected as the study objects. All patients underwent preoperative MRI and surgical pathology examination. Based on the postoperative pathological examination, the accuracy rates of preoperative MRI in the diagnosis of the depth of muscular invasion, lymph node metastasis and cervical stroma involvement in patients with endometrial cancer were evaluated. Results The accuracy rate of MRI in the diagnosis of the degree of endometrial cancer invasion was 89.2% (66/74) and of the identification of the superficial muscular invasion was 90.2% (46/51) and of deep muscular invasion was 87.0% (20/23); The accuracy in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis was 79.7% (59/74) and in the diagnosis of cervical stroma involvement was 95.9% (71/74). Conclusion Preoperative MRI examination plays positive effect the identification of muscular invasion and the diagnosis and evaluation of cervical stroma involvement in patients with endometrial cancer. However, the accuracy rate in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis is low. It is suggested that it should be applied as a supplementary means in early prediction and screening to save treatment time and improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment.
