Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application value of MRI in the diagnosis of patients with rectal cancer evaluation of curative effect. Methods 60 cases of patients with rectal cancer treated in our hospital between June 2014 and October 2015 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were given preoperative MRI and pathological examination. With pathological examination as the golden standard, the accuracy rates of preoperative MRI in the diagnosis of T staging of rectal cancer and T staging of rectal cancer mesentery lymph nodes were evaluated. Results Theaccuracy rate of MRI in the diagnosis of T staging of rectal cancer was 83.3%(50/60), of T1 stage was 78.6%(11/14), of T2 stage was 85.0%(17/20), of T3 stage was 77.8%(14/18), and of T4 stage was 100.0%(8/8), The accuracy rate in the diagnosis of staging of rectal cancer mesentery lymph nodeswas 73.3%(44/60), of N1 stage was 79.2%(19/24), of N2 stage was 68.4%(13/19), and of T3 stage was 70.6%(12/17). Conclusion MRI is of high application value in the clinical diagnosis and preoperative staging of rectal cancer. It can be used as an effective basis for preoperative diagnosis and postoperative evaluation.
