Abstract

Objective To investigate the imaging features of nasopharyngeal lymphoma on MRI. Methods 41 cases with nasopharyngeal lymphoma in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were given MRI scan and enhanced scan. Those diagnosed by histological results and biopsy as nasopharyngeal lymphoma were analyzed the imaging features. Results There were 24 cases in diffuse group (24/41, 58.53.%), showed diffusive nasopharyngeal mucosa, thickness strengthened. 17 cases in mass group existed masses (17/24,41.45%). 41 cases had clear lesions border, sharp shape, partitions were clear with surrounding structural organization, throat muscles and nearby skull existed no abnormal signal, surrounding fascia existed no strengthened thickness, upper jaw bone and pterygoid process existed no invasion. MRI enhanced scan of neck swollen lymph nodes showed regular uniform reinforcement, existed no necrotic areas. Large diameter lymph node mainly in II district account for 83.33%(20/24). Conclusion MRI scan can clearly show location, shape and scope of focus. It is benefit for improvement of diagnose rate, lower misdiagnosis rate and can be seen as more suitable therapeutic schedule.
