Abstract

Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound and CT in female benign and malignant pelvic diseases. Methods The clinical and imaging data of 114 female patients with pelvic diseases admitted to our hospital from July 2015 to August 2018 were collected. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and detection rate of transvaginal ultrasound and CT in female pelvic benign and malignant pelvic diseases were calculated based on the results of pathological biopsy or surgical examination. Results The detection rate, sensitivity and specificity of transvaginal ultrasound for benign pelvic tumors were 94.44%, 85.56% and 86.67%, respectively. The detection rate, sensitivity and specificity of CT for benign pelvic tumors were 100%, 92.22% and 93.99%, respectively. The detection rate of CT for benign pelvic tumors was significantly higher than that of transvaginal ultrasound, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The detection rate, sensitivity and specificity of transvaginal ultrasound for malignant pelvic tumors were 95.65%, 86.96% and 76.08%, respectively. The detection rate, sensitivity and specificity of CT for malignant pelvic tumors were 100%, 95.65% and 93.48%, respectively. The diagnostic specificity of CT for malignant pelvic tumors was significantly higher than that of transvaginal ultrasound(P<0.05). Conclusion The detection rate of CT for benign pelvic tumors and the diagnostic specificity of malignant pelvic tumors are better than that of transvaginal ultrasound.
