PDFAbstract
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) combined with arterial spin labeling (ASL) in the diagnosis of acute cerebral ischemia. Methods The clinical data of 74 patients with acute cerebral ischemia were retrospectively analyzed. They were given routine MRI and DWI and ASL sequence examinations at 24 h after onset. The diagnostic value of DWI combined with ASL for acute cerebral ischemia was observed. Results The ADC and rCBF values in affected area of patients with acute cerebral infarction were larger than those in the mirror image area (P<0.05). The detection rates of large-area cerebral infarction by DWI and ASL both were 100%. The detection rate of small-area cerebral infarction by DWI was higher than that by ASL (P<0.05), and the detection rate of transient ischemic attack (TIA) by ASL was greater than that by DWI (P<0.05). Conclusion DWI and ASL have their advantages and disadvantages in the diagnosis of acute cerebral ischemia. The combination of the two can significantly improve the detection rate of disease, and it plays an important role in assessing the patient's condition and guiding clinical treatment.
